TBH, I wouldn't have given $100 for restaurants.uk.com. I do know that you can build these up, but I don't like gTLD 'private' subdomains at all.

No it doesn't!!

It proves that that particular name was worth that amount to one person. You cant now say that they are all worth more than reg fee!

I think thats nit picking for the sake of it, we all know what was meant by the original comment. It is quiite obvious you cant say all uk.coms are worth more than reg fee in the same way that all .coms are not.

What it does prove that there can be good value in premium uk.coms and its pretty obvious that was what this post was trying to suggest.

I once owned Nokia_uk_com and Nokia_gb_com and they actually got decent natural traffic. Not masses but decent. They also ranked well on Google with little effort.

Decided not to renew them some years ago and now they're owned by someone else. Ah well, I was naive and you live and learn I guess.
