Zero demand for .EU names?

Judging by the (lack of) response in this section...

Thankfully I don't have too many .eu domains. Never tried to sell one before. Has anyone had much luck with selling their .eu s elsewhere?

Demands For Eus

I have had offers for comparemortgages.eu and time-share.eu around 250 pounds for each. Not alot but better than what I paid!

Compare mortgages has found itself in the top ten msn for "compare mortgages" and that is without any work.

I think it is still in the top 30 somewhere

long term we will see!! is probaly the best answer!

cheers
Derek

I would just get them developed, that's what I've done with mine.

Re selling, can anyone explain the .eu transfer process?

I just sold fuelcards.eu for £335.

The transfer process is pretty easy and quick, the buyer sends a request to eurid that the name is to be transfered to them, eurid send you an email with a
code to verify this, you tick a couple of boxes paste in the code and that's it.

It's much like doing a .com

I've sold a couple, not big money but it's a profit.

.EU CTR sky high

I agree I don't think there is that much demand out there for .eu names at the moment, but I think this will change in the medium term as more companies start using the .eu extension. Also, I don't know whether I've been lucky recently but the ctr on my .eu names is very high, it's true it's only on a small number of views but if it caries on like this I'll be very happy indeed!

I just sold a pretty mediocre (in my opinion) .eu domain for 3,600 euros. The key was that the buyer had the equivalent .fr domain and wanted to expand to Europe. Just lucky.

I had about 70 L-L.eu domains... couldn't even give them away, useless - I'd imagine the same will happen with .asia - people and business just prefer their own ccTLD more...

Glad to hear I'm not alone.

I've got a few .eu but I am real careful what I buy...only corporate services or ecom potential sites that cross borders easily. Like you, I think more people will search .com first, then go to their ccTLD. I've got most of mine going to the Moniker Paris auction in June, so we'll get some feedback from the market then.
