In response to tifosi's comment, ICANN seem to be
expecting these new domains to be authorised. However, I sympathise with your point that it will be a very expensive operation.
Ratboy, I can understand that side of the argument, but do you honestly you belief it will be so? I'm not saying your wrong, in fact I hope you're right, I'm just worried that these new domain names will completely devalue top level domains because they can just market their new extensions, and over time people will get used having to know the correct extension and com/net/org will fade into the background, becoming almost obsolete?
