Is it normal to get a big variation in click values on a single site with Adsense?

I have a site getting $0.42 for 5 clicks one day and $4.70 for 2 clicks the next. The ads are all the same type, not spread across different product/service types. Most of my other sites are more consistent in terms of click value.
