Forecast for the 2009 winter, mild
Summer 2009, barbecue summer
Forcast for 2010 winter, mild with 1 in 87 chance of being a cold winter

These guy would seriously be better just flipping coins, hot or cold 50/50
Not sure who you have been listening to, but my grasp of climate change is that extreme weather will become the norm.

Going by the floods, bushfires, snow, stupid summers, droughts and blizzards it seems pretty accurate?

eg. hotter planet means higher temps for oceans, more evaporation... and more water to fall out of the sky....somewhere in some form
