The intention was for people to register their own names as .me.uk. That's the thinking behind the name, to register your own name as a .me.uk.

Bear in mind the fact that a commercial registration will be a keyphrase and not conflict with a personal reg, why would Nominet get upset about commercial registrations.

My view is, ultimately, commercial registrations help UK business, I can't see Nominet raising major objections, what would be the point? Also, it would be extremely difficult to enforce, as all registrations would then have to be checked manually, which I'm sure they don't want to do.
