All

I am very sorry that some of you seem to have problems with the plugin. I have 100s of users all using the plugin without any problems.

I do not deny that there are some known issues these being:

1. The database user privilege check occasionally falsely reports a problem
2. Database tables are not created on some specific versions of MySQL
3. The Scheduled Import system does not work with some feeds, although as of yet I can not replicate this issue.

Any other issues raised are not issues with the plugin. Can I repeat that they only archive supported by the plugin are Zip files, the issues that people are reporting here all seem to be due to Gzipped files being used. I have added this as a wish list for the plugin and will develop a method of dealing with them.

I do not log into this forum every day, and PM's on here do not allow me to match you up with your account on my system and as such it proves difficult to track issues. Can I request people email me with any problems and I will get back to you.

As far as I know I have got back to everyone with problems. I am unfortunately only able to support the plugin, any issues with server setups I can give advice on but I am unable to provide support on that.

It has been requested that I post the minimum requirements, those are on my website:

Wordpress Datafeed Plugin

As for server spec I am sure you will appreciate this will very much depend on what you are doing, what else the server is doing, the size and complexity of the datafeed, the complexity of the template etc etc. I have sites running on very low power VPS servers with 64mb of RAM, but equally I would not expect that to handle Datafeeds of half a gigabyte as one user is expecting, however my dedicated server happily handles that datafeed.

I hope this helps. I will repeat that I will give refunds to anyone for whom the plugin is not working but only where the plugin is at fault, not where the server or datafeed is at fault.

Kind Regards

Matt Houldsworth
