.net is still the 4th most popular TLD in the world if I remember correctly...

1. .com
2. .cn
3. .de
4. .net

They SEO very nicely, same as most other TLD's and just as brandable as .com or .co.uk if you put the effort in.

I've spend a nice �x,xxx sum on buying up .net domains in the last 6 months!
