Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I was checking sporadically throughout the day and I couldn't get onto Acorn - yup, blame someone else.
Our tech's term 'routine' was probably not the best for the phrase on the homepage, this was maintenance on a grand scale which, like all big tech products threw up a few un-foreseeable challenges. The slowdowns were kept as minimal as possible and we purposefully chose a Saturday night (US) in the middle of August to make these changes are this is one of the lowest-traffic times of the year.
I'm very sorry for any inconvenience and we will certainly reimburse anyone if we find their parking earnings were affected.
We took these steps now to ensure everything runs nice and smoothly for a long time to come.
