but are they going to extend their overly restrictive 5000 api calls per day / user / ip or are they going to add it to an unrestriced call?

otherwise I'll start scraping again!!

I know of two paid for services: KEYWORDDISCOVERY.COM ($49.95/M) and WORDTRACKER.COM ($59/M)

However I am not sure whether they allow you to select UK only searches.

There is another site that seems to tap into both the above sources, and it's FREE: http://www.submitexpress.com/keytracker.php

Any comments on the above services or alternatives are welcome.
Miva is the only uk service available at the moment(Best Of My Knowledge)
I also believe it is free at the moment. Just open an A/C, on the paged linked above. They also have results for US, DE, FR, ES, IT, SE, NO, DK ..
Im about 95% sure thats the sign in/up page, the other 5% is because it was a while ago when i opened an A/C.............

Any prob's i will try and get the bookmark of my other P.C later...

Aren't these just "keyword" popularity tools?

The beauty of OV for me is it's data on domains WITH the extension

with a capability and allowance of abusing it for a bulk check of 100s of names w/ extension.

How are we goingto assess the traffic potential of a .co.uk w/ extension now?

I hope you don't mind me chiming into this thread but as I am a newbie to the domain space I apologise for the noob questions I am about to ask

I presume the Overture data was scraped for the domain.dom, and used as a measure for approximate searches within the Yahoo network. If i am right on the above, I also presume it was used as a gauge (with a multipler) to estimate monthly / annual volumes of traffic without any extra work - IE Type Ins.

Am I correct ?

If so, from my experience in the search industry, there are other ways of estimating traffic, both actual and potential. Is there room in the domaining marketplace for this kind of information, and if so would you pay for it (as there is a real cost in compiling the information and I am not as kind as Yahoo ) ?

Thanks

Jason

Using the data you stored when you checked the 4.2 million .co.uk domains (old PRSS database) against overture a little while ago - I'm not the only one - you all did this right?
