Unfortunately, we have had no choice but to cancel the transfer for this domain. Despite our best efforts the seller was unwilling to complete this domain transfer.

What is interesting is an email recieved on the 17th from Sedo:

We have finaly reached the seller via phone. He has explained that he is not willing to proceed with the transfer as long as you have taken back the posts in some forums. We have already informed him that we were waiting far to long for the forms and he is bound to the contract with you. Unfortunately he was uncooperativ in this case.

Therefore we would like to ask you to take back the posts in the certain forums. If this is not possible or if you are not willing to this we will have to cancel this transaction as the seller does not want to continue with this transfer.

Thus it seems Sedo sales agreements are as binding as toilet paper handcuffs as far as Sedo is concerned.

Not happy with Auction / Sales price? Who cares, just dont sell it

I did point out to the seller and Sedo:

I am happy to co-operate fully and I will edit (and request deletion of) the posts once the transaction is complete ie. the domain name is in my name and on my TAG, as going by his previous form I do not believe that he will enact the transfer so rather wait another several months for him to comply I would like to see some good faith from him first.

I am sure if he is genuine that this will not be an issue.

It seems Mr Roland Seiber of Internetweit has spotted this post and thinks it is damaging, which is odd considering it is his course of action that has led down this road.

Sadly it looks like I will have to take further advice on this, and hopefully Sedo are supportive in me doing so.

I say I hope, as the reply from Shaun regarding the meeting Sedo had to discuss policy on non-completing traders was less than convincing, as apparently 'some' are pushing for stricter rules, which implies some are not, or are meeting resistance.

No doubt more to come in the future , but for the mean time be wary buying and selling on Sedo and certainly do not buy from Roland Sieber of internetweit.de as it seems he does not like completing his side of a deal.

Cheers,
Rob.
