Has anyone else noticed that Adsense has been peforming poorly over the past few days? My minisites, which admittedly at present get an average of only about $1 per day, have had several $0.00 days over the past 5 or 6 days, even though traffic has been pretty normal. I have contacted JustGoMedia to enquire about trying out Yahoo on one or two of my sites to see how the revenue compares, but I'm wondering if Adsense has dropped in performance for others too in this time. I've noticed that in the last two days I've had very few search hits for one of my best performing sites, NoisyNeighbours, like 2 or 3 a day, whereas normally I have been getting over 10. I know it's small fry for some people on this board, but from acorns! (excuse the pun) Is there a reliable (i.e. statistical) way to check whether Google has cut your rankings? I'm wondering if this is just a blip where people just happen not to be clicking. Either way it's not good Any thoughts? |

Hmm I wonder if it's just a blip. My sites are young (each is a month old or less) so perhaps they have yet to properly settle in Google et al. Here's my chart for all sites, all time (some sites were put online in the course of this chart so it's not totally clear): EDIT: can't show the chart, oh well. What do you guys think about the age of my sites? What's a realistic expectation for sites to 'settle' in the search engines? Last edited by melat0nin; 14-02-2008 at 12:26:58 PM. |

A dark part of me wonders if Google employs some people go to the sites of new Adsense accounts and click a few times for a while, to make the owner of the site think that Adsense is great and works.. and then after a while they move onto other new accounts, and in reality the original sites get no genuine natural clicks whatsoever! Tell me I'm wrong! |
