Best Books for Affiliates

Hello

Can you recommend any good books to help inspire and inform Affiliates and those involved with online marketing, or business in general?? What’s the best ones you’ve read???

The 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris is a popular book that a number of affiliates have recommended in the past. I’ve read it myself and I think it’s excellent. Particularly interesting for affiliates is its explanation of outsourcing work to overseas virtual assistants. This can help affiliates to focus on more important work and/or give you more free time.

I know there are affiliates already benefiting from outsourcing. In fact I recently attend a brilliant talk at this year’s A4Uexpo by Paul Madden & Richard Kershaw – “Insiders Secrets of Outsourcing Success”, in which they detailed how they have outsourced parts of their business.

Another book I’d recommend is ‘Get Out While You Can’ by George Marshall. George runs some affiliate sites himself – check out his website: http://www.entrepreneur.co.uk/ on which he states “I currently make most of my money by building and developing niche websites”. I really enjoyed reading his book – it's definitely one to inspire & inform.

So, what books would you recommend?

Lastly, www.easyspace.com is running a competition over November for affiliates, where they will have the chance to win a book each week - including the ones mentioned above:

1. Prize: Book - 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris (paperback).
View Prize: Amazon link http://amzn.to/rfW0MS

2. Prize: Book - ProBlogger by Darren Rose
View Prize: Amazon link http://amzn.to/qi7kTV

3. Prize: Book - Screw Work, Let's Play: How to Do What You Love and Get Paid for it by John Williams
View Prize: Amazon link http://amzn.to/qCBHat

4. Prize: Book - Get Out While You Can by George Marshall
View Prize: Amazon link http://amzn.to/npAnHU

To find out more details on the Easyspace competition check out the CJ Offers Portal by clicking the link below:

It will be very simple for you to gain entry into a prize draw for one of the books. So everyone can have a chance of winning. We've also gots lots of discount codes for November to help you.....

So, if you’re interested in trying to win one of the books above, then sign up to our affiliate program on Commission Junction via the link below and get started:

Good luck and let me know which books you'd recommend.........

which one(s)?
Or are you just spamming the forums in order to get your signature links?

As for the OP's question, I have done much of my learning through Acorn archives, A4U forum archives and various other affiliate blogs, including:

From Acorn:
From A4U:
SEOMoz:
This article is amazing and provides a wealth of info covering a massive area of online marketing:
I have not read some of these for a while, but upon reading them initially, I clearly decided they were of interest, as I bookmarked them!
There are more references, but thought I would save those for a blog post!

Hi Seemly - thanks for the links. Obviously there is a lot of good stuff online to learn from, but sometimes I just prefer a book to read - even though some of the info in them can age pretty quickly (especially when they focus purely on online marketing, etc). That's why I'm interested in hearing book recommendations from other people.......

I see from your blog you liked George Marshalls book 'Get out while you can – escape the rat race 2011' too:

http://www.seemly.co.uk/blog/get-out...e-the-rat-race

He's got another one coming out approx March 2012, which I'm looking forward to reading.

Bangipung - thanks for the links. I've looked at www.johnchow.com before and I know he's also written a book - see link below. However, I hadn't heard of the other two websites though - so cheers for that.
