Thanks for sharing, had to protect my businesses by registering them! Quite like this method actually, providing consumers are made aware so it doesn't look like spam!

Worth grabbing, and a nice convenient way to request money from someone. I like the way you can just add /£amount to the url. It wouldn't surprise me if at some point everyone with a username will be offered a username.paypal domain with shop front options etc. .me seems a bit lame especially for businesses.

Thanks , got an email about it a while ago but totally ignored it. Thought it was the normal promotional crap.

Registered one, I take it you can only have one per account ?

Yeah, just the one annoyingly, so to protect my brands, even on those I don't require just yet, I've just set up new accounts to the minimal required information (no bank details etc) to secure them.

I like them, but equally it is a clever way of encouraging the buyer to tick the 'goods and services' box which in turn adds the fees you can normally avoid using the gift option.

Yeah brand protection was my first thoughts over generic words, you can have x amount of email addresses associated with an account so it would have been nice to have an equal amount of vanity URL's at least.

Thats why i like using Stripe because you can setup accounts within the main account for different sites etc.

Never heard of Stripe, will have to check it out, though the pricing is much higher than what I pay, but significantly lower than Paypal that's for sure.

Yeah certainly lower than paypal fee's. Similar to gocardless ( think its a bit more expensive than gocardless ) but I personally like how everything is laid out and how easy it is to integrate into most platforms.

Perfect for a fast and easy way to take card payments with out needing Barclays epdq or authorize.net, for a small niche store or quick e-commerce store setup its ideal to get started.

No doubt, straight forward and easy to implement api is ideal for any start-up business and I'd certainly recommend alternatives to Paypal. For long-term, you can't really beat a full payment gateway and processor to get the best rates, but of course you need to be turning over a decent amount first.
