Banners and CPM rates

We run a site with user generated content and have a 728 x 90 leaderboard and 300 x 250 MPU on every page.

Our page views per user vs the number of uniques we have makes the site very sticky and our banner CPMs do suffer - we try to stay with CPM deals as the stickiness of the site makes our clickthrough a bit weak and we do poorly with CPA campaigns.

What type of CPM rates (on mainly run of network) are acorn members getting on their banners?

We serve around 100,000 ad impressions (50/50 over 728x90 and 300x250) to our entertainment site. The base CPM we get from what I consider to be basically our remnant ads (Tribal Fusion) is around $0.70 to $0.85 net. We have premium campaigns that run semi-regularly which attract around $3 to $5 net CPM, though usually those will only fill around 20% of the total impression counts each day.

We have also started running campaigns that are 952x250 in the UK. We've had 3 week long campaigns for this so far and the CPM has been over £12.50 (net) for each.

I guess it all depends on the niche as to what CPM you should be expecting. For example a niche business site with the same impression count we have would be worth at least 20x.

Thanks for the reply Peter.

Out of curiousity is that 100,000 impressions daily, weekly or monthly and are the 925s getting a better clickthrough rate than the 728 leaderboard?

Our CPMs seem similar but I'm impressed that you are with Tribal Fusion - they now look for 500,000 uniques monthly!
