Lighten the mood and make some money

In the same sort of fashion that Boxfish tried to spark a little competition in his previous thread here and with the mood taking a darker feeling over some recent posts, I suggest a challenge which will -

a. cost only <�10 to enter
b. put everyone on a level playing field
c. bring the Acorn community closer together again in a sort of 'team building' exercise

The challenge is simple. Each participant registers a brand new domain name (any extension is acceptable) and has 2 weeks to try and sell it for the most amount of money possible, and in any way they see fit.

The rules

1. It has to be a fresh regged domain name between Monday 29th August and Monday 5th September at 5pm. It must not be a caught name with any obvious advantages etc

2. The name has to be posted in this thread by Monday 5th September 2011 5pm - any name not posted in the thread will not be entered into the competition

3. The competition ends on Monday 19th September 2011 at 5pm - Each participant has to post their domain name and how much they sold it for (if they actually managed to sell it)

Interested ? put your name down here and start looking for your domain.

Just a bit of fun, which will be interesting to see the various names and outcomes we can all achieve from using different ideas and methods.

I'll make sure I find time to approach endusers. That's when I'm not being a cheapskate and wholesale flooding the sales area natch

maybe when everyone posts the domain they have regged and are entering they post whether they have sent admin the tenner?

the way I see it it is likely someone will sell one for mid xxx up so the 'prize money' is neither here nor here

be a nice addition to admins hosting etc?

Sorry I didn't mean it that way - I meant it will cost �10 or less to enter, depending on what extension is regged and where it is regged.

Happy to do the �10 entry thing though, but I fear it will put many off.

i guess if someone gets a homerun they may wish to make a donation anyway

any predictions on what someone may achieve?
personally I think low x,xxx is possible if all the stars are aligned

Undoubtedly the WORST part of this competition is going to be seeing some of the cracking domains that get entered - knowing they were available and free to reg as of now lol
