It depends on what you want your site to do really. I've not used it yet as I'm smitten by Wordpress. I have a mate that swears by Drupal though, he'd eat it for breakfast if he could

I am planning on trying it out soon though, just to see what all the fuss is about. I think it's more user friendly now than it used to be, my mate tells me that is used to be a bit of a puzzler to get your head around. As with all these things, I think the more time you invest in running/learning it, the better the results.

Someone on here must be using it for mini sites and stuff, surely?

I've used it but I didn't like it that much. You might want to look at Mambo too -- but for total simplicity, I think Wordpress is pretty good.

I've tried Drupal, seems to be popular cms. But I'm just starting to learn it so I can't really say if it's good or bad, but seems to be good so far

I havn't used Drupal no, I tend to use Expression engine for websites have you used it? It's very robust and has great community backing.

Thumbs up Its going to be most popular CMS.

Hi,
I worked on major CMS – Joomla, Drupal and wordpress(not a complete CMS).
Earlier I used Joomla most and now adays I am using Drupal a lot, I believe Drupal going to be most popular CMS.
IBM and major software companies are now using Drupal.

Programming logic is in modules and user interface is controlled by themes.
It usages PHPTemplate engine by default but you can use any other template engine.
It is having some important core modules and then 1000s of contributed module.
new version 6.x is having in-build multilingual support.

Drupal is a great platform. played with it since the early days... it has come a long way.

perhaps you should check out civicspace which is a fork of Drupal?

These days I tend to custom code stuff or hack wordpress to do what I need as it's generally quicker

I used it, but quickly dropped it for Joomla....I just preferred the look and feel of Joomla.
