Has anyone else needed to enter a pin to receive funds?

Yes, thats one of the first security checks you have to do before they pay out. Google send out a small postcard like letter with the PIN on to your account address.

No, I've had it for years.

I stopped using it for a while and parked domains. I started using it again early this year on a new ish domain, since July the traffic has rocketed from 50 ish month to approx 300-400 a day averaging 360

Its possible that due to your accounts age, Google have (since its last use) implemented the PIN as a new security measure which would mean you never did have one but need one now to bring your account in line with their current security requirments.

Cheers guys.. Good to know it is "normal" practice these days.. I did find it amusing when one email send we have dispatched your pin date XXX In another email appox a week later, you should have your Pin in 2 to 4 weeks.
