using widgets to post google adsense ads. in wp themed sites
is this safe/a good idea ?

I dont see why this should cause any problems
i do it all the time, use a TEXT widget and paste the adsense code into it.

There is a limit to how many ads you can show on the page - take this into account when you set things up.

As long as its your own hosted site of course, wordpress.com hosted sites do not allow the use of adsense.
