![]() | Google Adsense - advice wanted I hear so many times that people are making hundreds and even thousands a month from Adsense, the thing is i must be doing something wrong or there is something im not doing. Ive got the same adsense code on vintagecomputer.co.uk highscores.co.uk oldgames.co.uk storedonkey.com All of which are developed websites and get a combined 1000 unique visitors a day yet its taken me from the dates... 16th Novenmber 2004 until 04th March 2005 to reach the minimum payout Is it that i dont get enough visitors, or that the type of domains dont fetch high value click? The same goes for the 20 domains i have parked on sedo.. (im getting a pathetic 1 euro a month... tops!!!) this is combined.. not seperately. Realisticly how do people manage to get in the over $100 a month bracket. |

![]() | Thats been exactly the same for me!!, people must be ignoring the links just like everyone started ignoring banners. I think google needs to come up with more ideas. |

![]() | The crucial thing with adsense is that you must test different ad placings, colours etc so that you continually strive to improve your CTR and revenue. Also if you have a site about cross stitch patterns then you are going to earn far less than a site about metholemia (sp) lawyers - one costs pence to advertise and the other costs around £20 per click. One common misconception for adsense is that by placing more ad units on your page you have more chance of increasing CTR whereas in reality the reverse is true. By having compelling content on your pages you are inviting people to click when they have read your copy. Placing your ad's at the top of your page close to your content and using the same background colour as your page is a good starting point. It's against the adsense TOS to start discussing individual revenue etc so please don't start that here. One of the main problems with google adsense is that the tracking features leave plenty to be desired with the time lag between you making a change and then measuring the results. If you have good niche sites with the amount of visitors you are talking about then you should easily be getting a cheque every month. |
