Adsense Text Colours

After the opinion from exp Adsense bods.

What colour schemes do you find convert the best?

do you try to make the adsense blend in with other headings, titles etc on the page or a contrasting colours that stands out so 'catches' the eye?

some good converting examples wold be great for review (PM if you dont want sites known in public)

Thanks
Andy

I'll find out but............

I attended http://hd-live.co.uk/speakers and Peter barron was a speaker from Google. He mentioned results and tests showed a lighter blue works best for CTR, they did have it down to an exact colour and will update when I know.

If your site uses a fairly traditional colour scheme (e.g. black text on white, with blue links), then make the title "link blue" and the rest of the ad, including the URL, black.

BTW, never turn your back on the potential of Ad Link units. Even though they're compact, they can be amazingly effective.

The bottom line is you have to keep testing and tweaking if you really hope to wring the maximum income out of your site, because the "right answer" will be different for every site layout, colour scheme and audience...

Agreed I think this was an over all result and just the actual "link" text.

I find that never ending tweaking has little benefit.

I would say avoid the old fashioned blue ad units (mother earth i think the design is/was called).

I find OVER blending is counterproductive.

I also find what gets good CTR on one site doesn't work so well on another site.

I'd say try some things out but don't get too hung up on it

Alot of the time it depends on the actually wording of the ad rather than the colour, of course we have no real control of what appears on the site, nevermind the wording

Don't forget you have some control over font size and face, as well as colour and layout etc. In fact, it can be useful to try and "match" your site's font to the ad font as best you can...
