strange Google results for domain shopteam.co.uk

Can anyone explain how this Domain has so many Google links, all linking back to itself:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...pteam.co.uk%22
(click where it says "omitted results")

Results 1 - 2 of about 714 for "shopteam.co.uk"

Using the Archive machine, it never had more than 9 pages:

I know this is an old post but I was intrigued.

It looks like those pages are listed by a frameset - the admin has gone to great trouble to keep all of the amazon generated pages by creating a frameset for each page. Probably hoping to sell the domain based on the traffic.

Interesting but I dont see any frames code in the Wayback Machine's source code yor the original site.

So you think that each Amazon page result was sent to a main frame and Google sees that as site content?

Yes, that's what I think because their other sites with the same page results:

Is there a script that does this for you?

Oh! Like a script that reg's those valuable domain names the moment they become available

I'm guessing that these pages are created from the Amazon developer kit - I think you get a key and then you can interface with their shop. Come to think of it I remember several third party add on's that will do the same thing.

But it's a lot of work for a small amount of low quality traffic IMO.

Do you have any other ideas for monetising domains?

Some names are too good just to park on Sedo IMO.

Sure.

First of all, I just regged TrafficAnalysis.co.uk after a couple of hours looking through your lists. Thank you very much. There will be some donations coming your way when I have some more commissions paid into my paypal account - I just raided it for Christmas!

This is how I see it and not everyone will agree that's for sure. It all depends on which type of domains you are registering.

Like I said, I spent several hours going through your lists this afternoon and once or twice I was tempted to do a whois lookup. But I'm only looking for domains that I can either make quick money in affiliate commission or build on. As is the case with the domain I regged above.

If you want to monetise a domain then you need traffic - and the only type of domains that get enough to warrant working with are the "type in traffic" ones - but these are expensive to buy - I guess you have a few.

You can't "monetise" a domain if it has no traffic. So the whingers saying that they don't get enough money out of Sedo simply don't have enough traffic to monetise the domain.

So my approach is to register domains that have high click value on overture or google like say finance and then build a directory out of the name. You know that you need links to gain search engine popularity so building a directory is the logical approach. Then it also doesn't matter so much about the quality of the domain.

I started one here: http://www.loansearchers.co.uk

Have a read of this http://www.storebuilder.co.uk/review3.html which explains how links work as well as some background on directory building.

You might also like to have a look at the tool that Dave Beasley uses as it's quite cool but doesn't give you the linking power.

The problem is as all domain grabbers know - you can end up with a huge stack of domains and little revenue to show for them. And building traffic to a domain takes a long time, even if you know what you are doing - that's why traffic domains are so much more valuable.

I think you should draw a line between monetising domains and making money out of building sites. Trying to do both will leave you exhausted and a hungry fox chasing two rabbits.

If I was a domain catcher then I would look at selling the domains on as fast I could and that means having a ready made target audience to sell to.

If you have good names then you should build reciprocal linking directories out of them and run google ad's. I find that combination works really well.

I'm off for me dinner . Thanks again for the name.

I thought that was normal if you selected 'omitted results'
