    SmartBand.co

What do you think guys? Free to reg the other day. There's a new trend emerging in fitness bands. Lenovo has a smartband out, Microsoft is launching the Microsoft band, as pics have been spotted in an app store.

Not sure about keyword domains on .co

I thought .co sales were mostly single words or short

Is smartband.co any better than smartband.xyz (ftr) or all the other extensions there are now

In my opinion, much better. .co is quite "trendy", used by a lot of startups. Plus the fact that it's an abbreviation of company.

I just can't get past the fact that .co domains just look like there's an 'm' missing.

.com is still king, but I've noticed quite a few startups using the .co, and I am quite bullish about the extension myself.

Quite fond of .co TLD myself and on this rare occation agree with Accelorator ;)

Its being used more and ive seen alot more people seeking to buy the right .co................whether those seeking actually find what and make the purchase they want is another matter.

It's tough one, I like it personally though. I've sold a few .co's but they've all been short snazzy ones like Dino recently, I can't shift any keyword domains, even top ones.

I think the good thing about .co is the fact that it's so short and stands for company. I agree about the keyword domain issue, I wouldn't rush to reg them at the moment. Smartband.co is both keyword and "brandable" IMO.

Put it this way, at the moment, when looking for availability, I tend to only check .com, .co and .co.uk.

I was really in two minds whether or not to renew ElectronicCigarettes.co but I did in the end, I quite like the look and the sound of .co and there have been some reasonable sales in the past, its one of those that I just knew I would regret not renewing at some point.

% that buys co aftermarket is tiny,
Sales high % were before alternatives were available,
Sales also tend to be more brand type, short more established market products
Product is unlikely to be marketed as such manufactures etc already have brand identity to sell them under,
    Com etc not developed,
If you go many think of it as “company” that would also mean many wouldn’t reg, buy it etc as there company isn't named it?
Are makers going to go cheapo? a contributing factor is often cost for many names but buyers in this instance is not the same as Joe’s autos who can’t afford com co/uk etc rates so go cheapo?
Would extension even kill off buyers of products if they think its not there own country cctld etc

Not saying co can’t sell just don’t see this is one that will and make enough to warrant the effort

We'll see, I've made one big sale of a .co which is why I like them. :D
