I've left this domain go into expiry, but I can recover it.

Should I be looking to recover this domain?

    Second doubts

Not for me. We're in the space and it's not a generic, but doesn't have enough of a brand ring to it.

Personally I've seen much worse brandable names listed on BrandBucket, for example..

Problem with selling on those platforms is, once name is listed, you can't really sell anywhere else. Then BB, for example, only have about 3-5% sell rate per annual.

If it was my name, it probably would be 50;50 call ;) Sorry not much help from my side.

    Hi there

If you are having doubts, then allow me to provide my personal and decisive opinion. Don't renew it.

The term "holiday pods" is not used much, the better term is "camping pods".

Any holiday company will use its own unique brand name, it won't be overly interested in the generic, as this isn't a high traffic term. Also, they would never pay you much for the domain, because there's no real business justification to do so.

    So no, don't renew it.

Your money would be better on a different domain that has much better resale prospects.

Also, if you want a second opinion on anything domain related, then feel free to PM me.

Genuine question, why do you often conclude your post asking the OP to contact you via PM for anything more? Why take conversation away from the public forums? What is the motive? Never seen anyone else so adamant by using this approach.

It's for anything business-sensitive that is not suitable for public discussion. It's saying if you want a second opinion, I'm prepared to give one, e.g. a second opinion on a domain you are thinking of registering, which could not be asked in a public forum. For me, it's a way of building up valuable contacts.

Thanks for the offer, it's always good to have a pro opinion.

Networking is always useful, the exchange of knowledge has it's own rewards ;)

Another vote for Do NOT Renew.

On first looks the domain looks OK, but most people search/use the term "camping pods"

    Cheers :)

    Go with the above comments

Holiday = a hopeful ideal time environment
    Pods = cheap environment

    they don't go together
