I have recently bought MachinesOnline (co.uk)

I want to build a website with sub domains for terms such as:

    Coffee.MachinesOnline

    Sewing.MachinesOnline.........etc etc.

Could someone advise if this is a good idea or is it better to have a main page and have the various machines as directories.

    Ie
    MachinesOnline.co.uk/Singersewingmachines

Of course the big question is...is it worth doing and is the domain worth the effort

    Many Thanks in advance:t:t

I'd say it's not worth the bother I'm afraid.

No-one is actually looking for [XXXX machines online] as a search phrase and you'd not get any exact match benefit even if they were, so you may as well use a memorable brandable name instead really.

    Sorry!

might work for PPC for landing pages and your ad could be machinesonline.co.uk/model_no

Quite a bit of work though as you'd really need to offer a good price comparison if thats the route you were thinking of taking it
