I turned down £5k for this as I think it is worth way more. Did I make a mistake or am I right?

    Kilt.co.uk

Great domain. would have took the money guaranteed. way better have gone for way less, way worse have gone for way more. i know that sounds a bit w**ky but so true. if it's got no web development, just a name, i'm thinking it's limited on applications. don't get me wrong, nice & short word though.
my opinion is more like £1500:mrgreen:

It's a nice domain, but the plural is probably worth 2x as much.

5k for kilt seems very good to me. The plural is a different ballgame.

Some plurals just sound better. It's like I have ebed but ebeds sounds better, like bed and beds.

If you have a business selling kilts, the plural works much better.

If you don't have a business selling kilts, why would you even pay 5k for it?

That was kind of my logic...

Eetc - 5k sounds a good offer. If you've nothing else bidwise in the pipeline you can always email the bidder back and say you've reconsidered the offer, and think it fair enough.

Take the 5k, it is such a specialist market that there will be very few buyers out there who might be interested in the domain. It is probably only worth 3,000-4,000GBP. The plural is worth a lot more.

I sold for more than 5k but they don't want me to publish the price. I may have got more but it felt right at the time. I have lost many sales because I was holding out for more so I won't let myself be unhappy about it...

I am surprised you got spam, why would you be on a list? I am also surprised the site appears to be down.
