I realise, hence why my previous post wasn't in reply to yours. Anything is "brandable", actually, ("brandable" being one of the most ill-used words on Acorn Domains) if investment is made into building said brand.

I sometimes don't know where some of you members are coming from.
A company pays thousands of pounds to put signage outside their premises and it's looked on as the natural thing to do, even though a limited number of eyes will ever see it. Yet when it comes to a brandable domain name which by the magic of the web can be seen and recalled by millions or even billions, some of you can't see the wood for the trees, now if you can't, then how can you educate the marketplace.

I sold a firstname.co.uk for £10k via Sedo back in February.

Harry is a far more popular name than the one I sold so no reason why it can't sell for the same price or higher.

The thing with a first name is it can vary so much on the buyer... you may get someone wealthy who wants their name in .co.uk and you may get a business contact you as they want to use the name as a brand.

However, as Harry is such a common name then you can be sure theres a lot more potential interest it, so I would say stick it out for high £x,xxx or v low £xx,xxx

Don't want to split hairs here, but my daughter has reliably informed me that it could not be used for a girl's name - that would be harri.co.uk... nuff said!
