Some say 'North' is anything outside zone one, above London, Birmingham - or even above Manchester!

Personally I think when you start having to be asked 'are you local?' you have gone to far off the compass... ie. yorkshire, norfolk, dorset / cornwall etc.

I would be interested in seeing people talk about traffic generation and monetisation strategies with case studies, especially for UK domains. Mark Van Dyke's army.com speeches are interesting, but they apply more to the US generic domain market where traffic doesn't have to be built from the ground up necessarily.

With that in mind I'll volunteer to discuss gambling.co.uk as a case study, if that would be of interest to anyone here.

It would be cool to use a pub function room or something.

There's been many threads started on this subject in the past and none have come to fruition. I think last time Oxford was deemed the most central location. I think admin/we need to set a location and a date and that's it. If you can make it great if not..... otherwise it's not gonna happen.

I would assume it needs to be a saturday.
So..... Need at least a few weeks to arrange and not too near xmas.
= Sept 29th,
Oct 6th, 13th , 20th, 27th
Nov 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
Dec 1st

Venue = Can we agree on Oxford?
I would prefer London being in Essex and could suggest a few pub rooms in marylebone which are near ncp/station and hotels.

Need function room/pub room.
Need parking.
Need Hotel.
Need train station.

Ticket price to cover some/all booze and buffet?

If we can agree on the above we can then go on to content.
Perhaps a thread to agree on location and site suggestions???

I am willing to liaise with admin to help organise as I'm very organised and a fussy F*cker so wouldn't put up with the shambles of domain focus. P*ss up in brewery! Actually the brewery nr barbican is a good venue!

Discuss.
