123 reg dumbasses

Just a rant

I recently renewed two domains I have owned for two years with 123reg both the .com and .co.uk

I have just noticed that the .com no longer points to my server but the .co.uk is fine. After checking on whois it seems the .com is registered to an owner Canada and is now making money from my traffic.

I have the receipt from 123reg confirming payment and the .com was in my account list but now seems to have disappered.

I have emailed 123reg twice and received no response, Going to phone them tommorow.

Exclamation

Make sure you whois your domain portfolio regularly for any unsuspected changes.

I run mine through about once a month and then sort by registrant, you will soon see if a name you dont recognise shows up!

I also track my drops on a monthly basis, just checking now what I will release to the world.

Thanks for the tips admin

Phoned them this morning, they don't understand why it has disappeared, are going to send my details to their head office in London and then contact me when they know what's happened.

send them a link to this https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp

7 days and you going to them

Also same with the chap that domain was lost by them. Take them to court for losses incurred and the loss of the value of the domain.

It's negligence and will stand up in court.

All the best
GW

I also bought a number of domains from them this morning, went thro the payment process to be informed that my "Transaction was Invalid and the purchase cancelled, please repeat the process"
This i did.
Only to find 10 minutes later that they had put both card transactions thro and taken payment twice for exactly the same deal (2 minutes apart!).
The only difference being the Invoice Number.

Obvioulsy, i can't seem to get thro to them...ANY IDEAS other than GreyWing suggestion to take them to court?

Have you tried submitting a support ticket? 123-Reg Support

Every time I have done this I have had a quick response.

You know what bensd, I spent 20 minutes trying to get past the wall of Q & A responses (to post a complain ticket) that they put up, that i gave up and have tried to make contact with a Head Office of some sort. To no avail.
Guess if i dont get my money back from them, i'll just have to order them a Skip for their Head Office front gate!

I remember they gave their support number out a few years ago, but not you can just use their support system, if they don't reply you in a day summit again, I remember I submitted one and no response about a week, until i sent an update asking Hello is anyone in?

Anyway I had giving up on them now, planning to escape unnoticed....

btw bad luck on the domain. hope you will get compensated for it.

this is why I am thinking about getting my own tag, for the safety of my beloved uk domains.
