| Junior Member | Can you help?
Hey Folks, I have run a website since 2004 using a .co.uk domain name, but somebody has registered my .com domain name in 2005. Before I started learning about domain name trading, I thought it was just tough luck on my part and I would need to accept my mistake of not taking .com when I first started my site. My question is, can I do anything about this? I've emailed the domain owner in an attempt to buy the domain, but no reply. I do run my website as a legal business and feel that the .com is taking away some of my revenue and visitors. I'd appreciate any advice on what, if anything, I can do about this. Thanks very much. |

You can fill a UDRP complaint to WIPO: http://www.wipo.int/amc/en/domains/guide/index.html However it is only worth doing if you can prove you have rights to the name (trademark etc) and they are passing off as you (ppc adverts etc).
