Thumbs down Prince fan sites face legal action!

This is ridiculous. Prince is pissed because his FAN websites have photographs of him. These sites have got to remove any photographs, images, lyrics, album covers and anything linked to Prince's likeness, that goes for people showing off their Prince tattoos and pictures fans have taken of him as well.

Quote:
However, a spokesman for Prince Fans United, who asked to remain anonymous for legal reasons, denied the sites had done anything wrong.

"We respect copyright laws always. However about 80% of the images on the websites are not copyright owned by Prince," he said.

"For example there are photos taken of him in concert where the copyright remains with the photographer."

I wish I had some pics I took of Prince, I'd make a new fan site just to rub it in. If I ran that fan site I'd well be sticking Google ads on the main page, they must be getting loads of traffic, might help with any legal fees they have to pay as well.

Let's hope no AD domainers have any Prince domain typos!

from the Web Sherif website:

Well that's certainly correct now.

either he's incredibly whacko or it's a marketing ploy to drum up interest in the aging popstar.

Unfortunately a whacko who is simply looking for publicity. He hasn't done anything decent for 20 years. Just doesn't want to be forgotten.

sold out, so are the spice girls hope they aren't considered legends.

Prince gave his music away for publicity nothing more, it was a junk song and I have never heard it even played the radio.

He's one step down from whacko jacko o.k maybe Tom Cruise is in between somewhere.

Don't doubt he was a legend in his time and his 80's songs are still some of the best ever written, but the last 20 years haven't been kind. He just can't accept he isn't in the news anymore.
