Interesting.

In cases where there is no Response the Complainant can pay just GBP 200 for a Decision, and they just need to show nominal Rights and Abuse to win. That could be a nightmare for those with large portfolios to manage and protect. All that time spent responding - headache.

These changes are a complete and utter outrage. Surely Nominet needs to consult with its many stakeholders before making willy nilly changes... They are a law unto themselves.

Oh... They did? I'll get my coat

Does our member Beasty provides DRS legal advice after he has been elected to the Nominet board? I haven't seen him for a while..

I thought this was all going through consultation, then it gets dropped on you!

Is this binding now?

Yes - unbillable time. It is still free to iniate a DRS , even a small fee would stop the idiot time wasters.

Interesting question - I am guessing (I do not know this) there must be limits to what can / cannot be done due to potential conflict of interest.

That has been in before, as I pointed out in consultation at the time each name ought to be assessed on its merits.

I hope they got contingency plans for when The Royal Mail lose a notice of DRS, and someone loses a DRS by default, or perhaps they may have the answer to people DRS'ing multiple names.

It also sounds to me that they can punt (and see whether you reply) for a £10 and then then buy for £200. Why not punt for £200 which they lose if I reply and then buy for a £10. I then get the £200 for my time in replying.

This is going to cause problems,
