Stolen Domains?

I've read on loads of forums nightmare stories of people having their domains stolen (mainly .com's), my question is has anyone ever had a domain stolen and is it possible to steal a .co.uk domain considering that we have to fill in transfer forms and confirmatory letters?

Surely, if we always keep the registrant and admin email addresses upto date there should never be any problems.

Yes it is possible to do, although due to the paperwork etc it is somewhat harder and there is a defined papertrail to follow if/when it does happen.

Never happened to me though so I can't give you any horror stories.

If it happens with a .uk domain sign the indemnity form Nominet have and get the name back.

It's happened to me with a .com and a .net, but it was more of a credit card/charge back scam than someone hacking my account to move domains around.

Enom managed to recover the names the same day.
