Possible Hijacking help needed

Hi

I think I have had a .com hijacked? Its now showing a new owner not myself!
I have emailed my old .com registrars and they have not replied back yet I have emailed the new owner to ask how he acquired it and he sent me this back...

We have received your email regarding the domain pianohire.com.

1) upon receipt of a copy of a valid trademark, we can move the domain into an account for you to manage, so long as there is a notarized letter stating that you are the owner of the trademark.

2) If there is no trademark, but you have a business license, we need a copy of a notarized letter that you are a representative of that business.

Please, fax all documents to our attorneys at (305) 574-7979 for their review.

If you need further assistance do not hesitate to contact us.

sounds so weird RANG UP YOUR REGISTRAR instead of emails, hope some pro would hook you up with some nice advise.

Got a reply from my registrars, who I think are quite worried at the fact that my domain name that is still sat in my control panel is now owned by a company in Vancover!

They even have it listed on the website for sale, when it should be on my website for sale

Edwin, do you know what happens out what the possible out come could be, I know you stock quite a few .coms?

I would think that they will be quite worried given the fiasco with sex.com and the responsibility put by the Court on Registrars. I would guess that you could claim compensation.

For info on the sex.com case - which includes decisions about liability when a domain is transferred without proper authority - it's worth looking at www.sexdotcom.info

Is that not like blackmail ?? If the domain was alreday yours then what have they got to "get it back" for and from ?.

If someone has nicked your domain then kick up a fuss. And tell them to shove the �9.99 and if anything they should be paying you.
