ad words - apparently this is a popular advertising program??
well i have the domain of the co.uk variety

anyone got any advice - is it worth arguing about?

Ofcourse I have plans to develop it into a site based around online advertising

i've had the american lawyer letter before but now its english based.

they are just asking that i give up the domain and have sent me a document to sign.

some advice would be appreciated

The domain is what it is, theres no getting round that...

cant remember when google started adwords

domain reg'd in 2004 - ad words started in 2000 . . . apparently, $1.3 bil revenue in 2003

Bit late now, but obviously when you registered it you thought it was generic.
However you are hardly the person to judge that they have sole rights. So why not just de-tag it and say that you promise not to renew.

That's nice, write back and state that you feel they're under achieving for the amount of publicity they seem to get. I had ad-aware.co.uk but sold that to them after Sweden came knocking with their solicitors.
