| Junior Member | .co.uk version
Hi, Hope this is in the correct section, i recently thought of a website to be used in the uk. So I went out and bought some domain names related to the idea. Upon further research it was apparent that there is a .com equivalent and i bought the .co.uk by accident. The .com version is for the american market. I am an absolute beginner at this so my question is what do i do? do i contact the .com company to see if they would like to start a .co.uk company or say nothing and start my own with a different name that i purchased. By contacting them i would be alerting them to the fact they could be missing out on the uk market wouldn't i? Also did a trademark search and the name i bought isnt trademarked but as the .com owner has a number of sites his main name is trademarked. does this mean all other names are subject to the trademark? The .com version is currently getting 400000 hits a month. My .co.uk site would be very similar in purpose. Any opinions would be appreciated. |

It is a site where people can give a review about something they bought/use, and then look up other reviews. The products though would be from the uk. | |
