The news article is clear that the police (and probably the Assets Recovery Agency) will be seeking to track and recover some of the money. This will be then be confiscated as the proceeds of crime.

Also, Nominet have said that they want to bankrupt this guy in persuit of over £81,000 in costs that they were awarded by the High Court when they sued him.
