123-reg: MX records and web forwarding

Hello,

Can't see what I'm doing wrong, and wonder if anyone can help...

For a domain hosted at 123-reg, we are planning to run our own mail server. For the same domain's website, I want to carry on using web forwarding to some ISP web space.

I've tried to do this (on a 'spare' domain for now) and I'm finding that the MX records are working fine, but the web forwarding is broken and I just get sent to a 123-reg holding page.

Here's the settings:

Code:
DNS:

@ A 194.154.164.82 (unchanged)
mail A 1.1.1.1 (IP for mail server)
www A 194.154.164.82 (unchanged)

MX:

mx0.123-reg.co.uk. 10
mx1.123-reg.co.uk. 20
mail.mydomain.co.uk. 5
The settings under "Web forwarding" are unchanged (framed forwarding to another web site).

The changes were made > 24 hours ago, and DNSstuff reports the changes correctly.

Question: Why do I get the 123-reg "Registered by 123-reg" holding page and not the forwarded website? Does customising the DNS break the web forwarding?

Thanks for any assistance!

As the www and @ records are untouced, the framed web forwarding should still work.

It has been reported that sometime you will get the standard holding page when changes are made where the domain is forwarded too, or the DNS settings. I would think that that is what has happened here.

I can only recommend waiting until tomorrow at the earliest, you should notice that your forwarding will begin to work again as I cant see any issues with your zonefile and nor does it state on the DNS page of 123-reg that changes will stop the www forwarding from ceasing to work.
