123 reg - improved service!

Bitch, bitch, bitch, but I must be fair when things improve.

123 reg isn't known to provide a stellar support service. However, after sending a fax only on Saturday I got a support phone call in response just yesterday. Not too shabby.

Perhaps Pipex now realises that nobody wants to buy 123 because there hasn't thus far been sufficient investment made in the business to add enough basic value.

Yes, I admit it, I do. Only for the convenience of administering my names. I wouldn't reg or renew through them though. I have to count every penny

When 123-reg moved from Nottingham to Stockley Park in London they lost 80% of their support staff. So I bet they have found new staff now and thrown in a cheap phone number and a new site www.123-support.co.uk to keep people happy.

Oh yeah the Hoff has gone to.....

What happened to the 80%? I haven't seen four out of work support staff looking for jobs. I feel for the one who stayed.

just a quick question guys, there is so many posts when I search for it, it's hard to find who's best for holding sites.

I have 700+ .uk's with 123 at the moment, who should I move them to, is there one that everyone agrees on. I usally use 123 to change my dns severs from place to place once a year.

Cheers guys

just got it a few days ago, and the invoice came through from nominet about membership, so I'll take the plunge and get that sorted asap.

Good point, I forgot all about hosting my own. How Dim Sort of thought that was for registering new names, and totally forgot about my existing ones.

I have some with 123 reg that didn't get transferred over correctly. And I can't remember what they were, so I know why people hate them. Just hope nominet send me a postal reminder when they are up for renewal. Otherwise they are gone for good.
