Free domain names from UK2.net!

Hi guys, I came across this and after posting it on another forum someone suggested I post it here. (If you'd prefer not to use the aff links the url is obvious!)

I doubt this was intentional but UK2.net have just released a couple of voucher codes valid for any order including domains:

Exclusive Commission Junction Voucher code
Code: CJ20080331
Valid from: Now
Valid Until: 31/03/2008
Value: £5
Valid with: All UK2 purchases

Valentines Days Voucher As the day of romance is fast approaching we have created a Valentines Day voucher worth £10.
Code: uk2loveday
Valid from: Now
Valid Until: 14/02/2008
Value: £10
Valid with: All UK2 purchases

Use the £10 one for single domain purchases and you are charged £0.00! (Just tried it.. it works!)

The problem is, it'll still cost you £11.75 through Nominet to get it away from them if you reg a .co.uk.

Yeah, guess it depends what you you are looking for - seems great for throw-away domains.

Those charges are ridiculous! However, I've just tried and you can change the nameservers without having to buy the dns management (fortunately).

Well, I was being pessimistic, thinking it was too good to be true, and only got about 20 co.uk's, going to use the £5 off to get a lot more cheap by the end of the month. Sure I'll develop or sell them within a couple of years, if not - nothing lost.

Just a side note - I managed to register a few using their £5 coupon, but now it's not working - I paid for several domains, and they are still unregistered after a week... I guess they would find out after a while we're using the coupons, but they could at least refund my money... Otherwise it's moneyclaimsonline time....

That doesn't sound good. Some of the "free" ones took a couple of days for me, but I've not used the £5 coupon. Please keep us posted on how it goes.
