For a while i paid no attention to the 1and1 invoices that kept coming in. Then I got suspicious and removed payment details from my account. Ive subsequently received yet another letter threatening arvato involvement for �10.83 non payment on a renewal. What renewal?? Today I got another email about an unpaid invoice (but it failed to mention the domain in question!) Again, what renewal?

The reality is that all non uk names I have with 1and1 are set to expire at the end of contract and have been for some time. Yet 1and1 are ignoring this and continuing to renew names.

Challenge everything 1and1 do.

i have had one couple of weeks ago which led to a debt collection service now i was really pissed of with 1and1 . They renew domains without permissions and got support india which is crap .

Make sure you cancel your domains or pay on time.

Want the best advice ?

CHANGE THE ISP TAG, to hell even 123-reg and let them expire there.

I have been trying to 2004 to cancel a name, I even have the confirmations of cancelling 11 times and still it keeps setting to renew on me.

I'm still pursuing 1&1 myself... Hopefully we'll see some investigations/action over the next few months...
