Afternoon,

I was asked to register our company name as a ltd.uk today and have done so with UKREG.

Just wondering if there are any time differences between a co.uk and a ltd.uk appearing on the whois?

I've only regsitered .co.uk with 123-reg before and they seem pretty instant.

Nominet have to check the company name and number matches by hand so you're looking at 2 to 3 working days for the registration to go through.

However I have discovered that the lass from work gave me our VAT Number and not company number, so its all going to fall over!!

It's a good test to see if the system's working...

Hopefully not..! I've just spoke to ukreg who have changed the VAT number to our Company number.

I am assuming that you TAG holder peeps do this via your software which automaticly updates Nominets records?

Not quite, they'll have sent a new registration request so the first request will get rejected 48 hours after it was sent and you'll need to wait another 48 hours or so from today for them to complete the tests on the 2nd request.

Not Bad, that didn't take too long. The domain was registered this morning. Result!
