URGENT 123-reg Renewal Issue

I am 99% sure i set my domains in 123-reg to auto renew however i have just noticed that quite a few of them, some clients names included are now "requiring renewal" with nominet! there is no way i would have set them as Do not renew!?!? I advise all 123-regers to check their domains!

hmmm im not convinced

This came from 123-reg; the standard 1 day renewal reminder

Quote:
Dear ALW

This e-mail contains important information regarding your domain name(s) that are registered with 123-reg.co.uk

According to our system, the following domains will expire in 1 days on 14 August 2010

sa3.co.uk

If you have current payment details stored on your account, you will not need to do anything (which i do). We will automatically take payment for the renewal on the date of expiry.
this came from nominet:

Quote:
15-Aug-2010

Your sa3.co.uk domain name has reached its expiry date and has not yet been renewed. If you do not renew the domain name it will be suspended and then cancelled.

If you wish to keep this domain name, you should act quickly. In the first instance you should contact your domain name provider who will be able to help you to renew the domain name.

Domain name: sa3.co.uk
Your provider: Webfusion Ltd t/a 123-Reg.co.uk
Provider's web site: www.123-reg.co.uk
Expiry date: 14-Aug-2010
and it's still not been renewed at the time of writing this (although have just forced the renwal through 123-reg). I would usually get an invoice through on the day that it expired but i didn't get anything:

You better make sure they are still in your 123 re control panel.

I listened to a call recording on Monday, where the caller has had their domain removed from their control panel even though it wasnt deleted yet, and the lady at 123 support told him that it had now gone into the marketplace, and he could buy it back if he wished.

She got really cheeky during the 25 minute call and insisted she was correct even though she had everything explained to her several times. A manager eventually came on and apologised and said it wasnt company policy for her to say that.

The as far as i can throw them comes to mind.

Had A similar thing a few weeks back with an .eu domain it was set to auto reg but they let it drop then tried to charge £40 to reactivate it after a few emails they agreed they had to meet the costs still not good though I plan to move all my names from there soon.

....developments

OK so i just got called by 123-reg (twice) off the back of this forum post (Google alerts). It turns out they had tried to process the transaction for the renewal of the 2 domains but i had just received a new card with a new number etc so it was declined. Possibly my fault for not updating with the new details but i didn't receive an email to tell me it had been declined either. Anyway it seems the issue is sorted.

Thought I'd post in here as I have a similar problem and 123 are not getting the problem resovled.

Renewed 14 or so domains via my control panel, invoiced, paid, money taken from my bank account. Half of the domains did'nt get renewed and got the suspension notice from nominet. Now on my fourth support ticket as they keep saying the domains have been renwed at nominet. Even spoke to someone on the phone who confirmed they were bought and paid for and not renewed and they confirmed via email they had now been renewed. They still haven't been renewed. Any idea on what I can do ? My control panel shows they were renewed so I am stuck. Waiting on another support ticket and threatening them with legal action.
