Domain Privacy Question for .com

Not sure if this is the correct place for this question but seemed to be.

I bought a .com domain via Namecheap a while back which has whois privacy enabled via Whois Guard.

So far so good, when you look at the registrant information my details are hidden and whois guard contact info is given instead.

The problem though is that when I do a whois search on whorush.com I noticed that the Reverse Hostmaster data is showing my full primary email address - which obviously completely defeats the purpose of the privacy.

Can anyone tell me how this has happened and what I need to do to stop it from showing my email address? No doubt I have cocked something up

Thanks for your help

othellotech is on a distinguished road

Several possible answers ...

1. They cached the whois data before the privacy was switched on - so now it's "public"
2. They have access to the "real" data behind the whoisidprotection service being used by your registrar
3. They've _somehow_ tied your registration to another domain you own and nly setup 1 "contact"

Option 1. is the most likely
