Thank you, and you might want to calm down next time and realise that people might be actually trying to help you, just because you don't like what they say. I won't bother trying to help you again though, that's for sure.

Well, that is the strangest definition of help I have ever seen

I was advising you of the law. That is help. You repaid me by accusing me of being a spammer.

Can I politely suggest that, after making such a potentially damaging defamation to my character and my business, you would be best not trying to be a smart arse and shut up.

Anyway, back to the matter in hand. I have asked the 2 LUG admins involved if they can get the members to report it as well.

150 addresses in the to: line is not only reckless, its dangerous. If 2 of those are unpatched versions of Exchange 2000 (still in use by quite a lot of small businesses) it will bounce around until mailboxes are full.

They can be under the EU PECR regulations. If the recipient business is a sole trader rather than a limited company they are protected by the same PECR regulations that cover individuals.

Do you know if that is the same for partnerships? I'm guessing it would be as a partnership is essentially 2 (or more) sole traders working together.

Thanks!

Although my country of residence (USA) is not covered by UK or EU emailing laws, my team and I always endeavour to be good corporate citizens and work extremely hard to avoid upsetting people. We proactively market our own domain portfolio as well as those of at least 15 other tagholders and sadly it is inevitable that we will have the odd email arrive at an unwanted destination.

Doubtless all the usual knockers will clamber aboard to berate me for daring to use email as an extremely effective marketing channel but I note with amusement that many other forum members have indeed copied my well publicised sales pitch and are using it to good effect themselves. Enjoy!

It covers any "Individual Subscriber" and an "Individual Subscriber" can be:
1. a residential subscriber,
2. a sole trader
3. an unincorporated partnership in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
