Need advice on 1and1 backdating an invoice for domain registry for three/four years!!

Thanks for your help guys, but I just got an email from 1and1 informing me that they will cancel the offending invoice due to the oddity of failing to issue invoices for three years. This anomaly is apparently being invesitigated. At least they recognised their mistake.
Thanks to anyone who took the time to read and help.

Isn't statutory limitation time now 3 years? They have to get bills out within 3 years I believe of the original sales point otherwise they can be ignored. Check out what I've said and, if correct, write to them telling that they have missed their opportunity to invoice you and goodbye. Please double check first.

As a friendly suggestion, may I also suggest that you keep your posts a bit shorter? You may be cross with whomever but not many of us have the time to read long posts. A brief summary would be fine.

Good luck, Luke

Thanks. Will do.
Sorry about the long post. As you say, I am a bit stressed and I wanted to be sure to include everything relevant but I do recognise the post is long and a tad rambling. Sorry.

Thanks, GreyWing.
As I am now discovering to my cost.

I have to trawl through their TOS and see if I can find the relevant information. I am shocked it is legal to do this, assuming it is....
