![]() | Do uk domains lose traffic to the equivalent .com domain?
Lots of great .co.uk domains are still available but the equivalent .com s are long gone. I someone promotes their .co.uk website will they also be driving substantial traffic to the .com. How much of a problem is it? How does it affect UK domain name prices? |

The reverse may also happen, .com sites lose traffic to people who type in .co.uk by default.

I only used to have the .com site for one of my businesses, I know I was losing alot of traffic to to the person with the .co.uk because I am UK based. Alot of people on forums etc were putting .co.uk as my address and people were getting confused. I offered a good £xxx for the domain which they refused. Stupid really because they ended up letting it expire and I caught it for reg fee |
