Google PR Update

Brassneck asked the other day when the next Google PR update will be done. Ive read on a couple of blogs today that the next Google PR update has begun today.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I know page rank isn't everything, however it does help when trying to secure some decent links for your sites.

Over last few months I've done more developing out than ever before so will be intrigued to see how my sites have faired!

begun last week on a 2003 domain. Seen some shuffling purely based on resurgence of traffic.

Pagerank is changing constantly It's only the public page rank that is updated. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean its not there

The only point im trying to make is don't expect sudden rises in ranks because your pagerank goes from 4 to 6 since it will have already been taken into account. As you say, page rank doesn't mean too much.. it's just an indication and obviously depends on the quality of the incoming links.

Exactly, it should be taken with a pinch of salt... Its nice to know if your hard work link building has paid off though. Also, PR will always help increase sales. The same domain with PR0 will sell for more if it was a PR6 even if it has no affect on seo whatsoever.

Yep. Provided of course its real PR. It's very easy to fake the PR on a domain but also rather easy to discover.
