.tv on the tv, sold itself the day it was born. It has only sold itself for certain companies precisely because they are advertising on the tv. If they didn't advertise, no-one would know they existed as no-one is going to type anyname.tv into their browser unless they have seen it on the tv and they remember it. So it is down to marketing. here is a classic example..... APS Mortgages....... Bad Credit? ...... Want to buy yor council house? On the telly all the time. Before they started their marketing campaign, the decision has been made to purchase mortgages.tv instead of aps.co.uk (or whatever) But when building brands, who needs it, stick with the .co.uk and have it everywhere. Well, they have decided they need it instead of the co.uk because, with the financial backing they see it as a better name than a co.uk This is what I'm talking about with prime generics in general. Stick tv adverts up every morning for a few months with loans.am and every morning tv person that needs a loan down the road will be typing in loans.am into their browser. The way I see it in the future, It will come down to 2 things. 1. Prime generic of what you are trying to sell (no matter what the extention ends in 2. Pump a shit load of money into it and they will visit as they remember it. Build it, advertise it heavily and they willl come. . | |
