Domtastic gave £150+ for Cardiff.co.uk

Any thoughts?

hmmm, interesting - perhaps a little too much to a reseller but given the size of cardiff and potential maybe not a million miles off...

Interesting, domtastic suggested £21.5K for ebouquet.co.uk, perhaps I should bung it on sedo and get rich

Has anyone sold a domain for anything like the figure domtastic suggests?

hmmm,

I think on the Intent and commercality you may have slightly over estimated.

Because you have 'branded' iow to become 'isle of man' it does not reaLLY mean you can factor that in as higly when valuing the domain 'as is'.

So I would assume that IsleOfMan.co.uk would have greater clarity and intent than iow - although i much prefer iow as a domain as its more elegant.

if it was job,co,uk then yes the meaning is pretty much 100% clear to most people. anyway i need to think abt this more...

I think julian ought to have a personal guarentee with it... "your domain name is worth £21,000 , and I will buy it for that price!"

Julians tool is definitely on the right path. So much better than any of the others. At the end of the day you are never going to be able to a get a system like that perfect without Human thought being involved in the apraisal.

I think its more down to people being honest when they appraise. Ofcourse you are wanting it to give you a high value but what good is that to you when its not even close to being accurate??

actully you are a bit wrong there, a few top end domains have sold near to a domtastic valuation:

fly
mobile etc

however exceptional domains are easy to value than good or average for obvious reasons.
